Family Fun Night Basket
This past Friday, my kids' school had their Winter Carnival. All the classes made baskets for the auction. My daughter's class theme was Family Fun Night. With all the hype about banners lately, I thought it would be fun to put one on the basket. I think it turned out pretty cute. I used the Birthday Bash cart for the flags, Slumber Party lite cart for alot of the images, and the Carousel lite cart for the "Admit one ticket". I used my Gypsy to weld the words"Family Fun Night" together. I used lots of wooden dowels covered in ribbon to stick the words and gift cards into the basket. I also put the green floral foam in the bottom. That made it so easy to stick things in the basket. Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with a vinyl project!

Circle Blog Weekly Challenge
Here is the challenge for this week: This week we have been paying tribute to the critters in our lives and now we want you to do the same! For this challenge your project must include something related to an animal. You can create your project for or about an animal, include an animal cut, use animal print, etc. Project must also contain atleast 2 Cricut images to qualify.
I used the new Nate's ABC cartridge for this card. It is such a sweet cart. It makes me wish my boy was still little. (Sigh) I also used the Seeing Spots cuttlebug folder for the background. The stamp is from My Pink Stamper. The flourish box is from the MS Elegant Cake Art cart.
Have a great day and happy creating!!!

Thank You card
Hope you all are having a great Tuesday. This beautiful weather we're having in Texas is making me a little anxious for Spring. My inspiration for this card. The paper is from the Cotton Garden Stack by DCWV. It is such a bright stack. I love all the orange and green in it. I cut the flourish and the border from the MS Elegant Cake Art cartridge. If you haven't discovered the wonderful borders on her cake cartridges- give it a look! They are just like her popular punches. Just because it's a cake cartridge doesn't mean it won't work with your regular bugs!!! Lastly I used a Sissix stamp for the sentiment. This was a super easy card, but I thought it was very nice. Hope you have a great day!

Circle Blog Weekly Challenge- You Bake Me Happy
Hello everyone! Hope you had a great Valentine's Day. We had so much fun with our Scavenger Hunt. The kids loved it and Stephen and I love watching them run around finding things. On my next post I'll show pics of their loot and some of the hiding places. Today's post is for the Circle Blog Weekly challenge. The challenge was to make something with a heart, at least 2 cricut cuts, and to use the cuttlebug. My card was made 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. I cut a heart from George and the Basic Shapes at 4 3/4, then embossed it with the little flower Cuttlebug folder and ran my white ink pad over it so the flowers would show up better. Then I cut a stove from the From the Kitchen cart at 3 1/2. I added some bling for the knobs. The pink ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The flowers are Prima. The stamp is from Scrappy Moms.

40th Birthday Banner
My husband's 40th birthday is this coming Tuesday. I wanted to make something special for him, so this is it. It was a labor of love for sure. But oh so fun to make. I wanted to show some humor with the gravestone (you only turn 40 once!) but not too much grim. So the rest of the banner is bright and cheery. Yes that is 40 candles across the top. 40 is alot more than you think.LOL Since there were so many cuts, I'll just summarize under the pics. There are quite a few. But I figured since I worked so hard on it, I would show off all the details I could.
Happy 40th Birthday Honey!!!! |
The gravestone is from the Wrap it Up cart. The letters are from the Classic Cricut Font cart. |
I used the Spots and Dots Cuttlebug folder. The scalloped triangles are from the Birthday Bash cart. |
Scalloped circles are from Mini Monograms. Ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. |
Swiss dots folder. Candles and cupcake are from Birthday Bash cart. |
You have to have stickles for those sprinkles! And that's rick rack tied in the button. |
The flowers are Prima. |
I absolutely love the way these flowers turned out. I know I'm going to have to make a card with them. |
I got these sparkly brads at Hobby Lobby. I love them! |
I got this butterfly (and alot more in different colors) at the Creating Keepsakes convention. |
Seeing Spots cuttlebug folder. |
Gift bag from Birthday Bash cart. |
A little tulle for the gift. |
The ice cream is from Birthday Bash and the embossing folder is called lines and dots. |
More Stickles!! |
The rick rack gives the ice cream dish some depth. |

You're Quite the Catch- Valentine Card
This card was made for the Scrappy Moms Tuesday challenge. You had to use an image from the Simply Charmed cart. I added one of their stamps for the sentiment from the "For the Boys" set. This was the first time for me to use their stamps, and I really like them. I will definately be getting more. And they also carry some precious baker's twine in the coolest colors. I want some of that too. I also used a MS punch for the edge. Hope you have a great day!
