Charger Plates

I'm sure a lot of you have seen the precious charger plates at Michaels.  They come in wonderful fall colors.  At our store they have some examples up of Halloween and Thanksgiving plates.  I decided that I would make some for Christmas gifts this year.  I thought the plate with an easel would be a great gift especially because I can customize them for each recipient.  So I got my vinyl out and went to work.  I will share the first 2 that I have completed.  One for me and one for my mother in law who loves old fashioned keys.  The vinyl was really easy to work with on the plates.  And now you can get so many colors!!  The possibilities are endless.  I hope you'll give it a try.

All My Kids Are Back In School

Wow, it has been a while since I have blogged.  I basically took the summer off to be a Mom to three great kids enjoying their summer break.  I loved the time we got to spend together.  I missed slipping away to my craft room, but I enjoyed the kids more!  So on this post I wanted to share what I made for their teachers on the first day of school.  The ultimate teacher survival bag.  I even made one for the librarians and the principal too.  They deserve a treat too!  Hope you like it and it inspires you to do the same for the wonderful teachers in your life.
I purchased the plastic containers at Target in the $ section.

This is a view from the top- all the goodies inside.

I used my gypsy to cut out the letters for the chalkboard, with white paper underneath.  The chalkboard was made using two rounded rectangles from the George cart.  The stamp on the tag is from Emma at My Creative Time stamps.

I had to hot glue the paper onto the plastic bag in order to get it to stay put.

This is everything that was in the survival bag with a little explanation.
