Our new Pup - Darby

Darby (the pup) meets Sarah (our 10 yr old Australian Shepherd). Sarah has taken on the mothering role with Darby and makes sure he is always squeaky clean!

As I recap the last few months - I have to mention a major change our household went through towards the end of November. We got a new puppy for our older daughter's birthday. He is the sweetest and cutest thing you've ever seen. When we got him he only weighed 1.3 lbs. Now he's a little under 4 lbs. We expect him to be about 9 when he's full grown. He is a shi tzu and just a big fur ball. We have all enjoyed him so much. And we've been pleasantly surprised at how well our daughter has taken on the responsibilities that come along with a puppy!

Slumber Party

To continue my whirlwind flashback of the Fall, I'll go on to November. My oldest daughter had her first slumber birthday party. I was so excited to have an excuse to get the Cricut Lite Slumber Party cartridge. It's a fantastic cart and I used it for her invitations and party favor buckets that each girl got to take home. The buckets were the hit of the party. They were filled with lotion, nail polish, slippers and other fun slumber party goodies. I also used the Cupcake Wrappers cart to make covers for the cupcakes (see pic below). Everything turned out so nice and most importantly it was a very happy day for my daughter!

Happy New Year!

I have been so neglectful of my blog the last few months! I apologize to any of you who have checked back with me. My New Year's Resolution is to be better about uploading my projects! Here are a few examples of things I did in October for Halloween. I made 75 goodie bags for all three kids classes plus hand sanitizer boxes for teachers and Stephen's work associates. It was crazy in my craft room - paper flying everywhere!!

Cortland's Birthday Card

It's hard to believe that Cortland will be TEN years old this Sunday. Where has the time gone! He will be in Ft. Worth on Sunday morning. It's the first time he won't be home when he wakes up on his birthday. We always wake the kids up on their birthday with the happy birthday song. We both had reservations about him not being here for that. LOL So I made him this card to put in his overnight bag, so he can open it first thing on his Birthday. I'm going to put a pack of his favorite baseball cards inside. So hopefully that will get his day off to a good start!

Baseball sign

We are ready and excited to go to the Texas Ranger vs. Yankees game tomorrow in Arlington. Cortland wanted to go to a Yankee game for his birthday and it's finally here. We made this sign for him to hold up at the game. Hope it'll get him an autograph!!

Frankenstein card

We have had a few cool days here in Texas (in the low 90's). It has got me wishing Fall would hurry up and get here! It doesn't help that Hobby Lobby and Michaels have all their Fall and Halloween stuff out. So in the spirit of Fall/Halloween I made a Frankenstein card. This one is 5x7, larger than my normal. He is made from the Paper Doll dress up cart. I used a Peachy Keen stamp for his face. Have a frank-tastic day!

tote bags

Good evening. I got an order today for a tote bag, so I thought I would show it and also a Halloween treat bag that I made a while back. I'm trying to get things made and pictures of them so that I can put them up on my website that will be coming soon. I'm sooo nervous and excited at the same time. I'll keep you posted as to when it'll finally be up and running.
