Update on our Robins
Our robins nest is still on our back porch. I went out yesterday (May 10) and noticed the Mama wasn't there which is very odd. So I thought I'd take a peek and see if the 2 eggs had hatched. I kept expecting the Mama or Daddy bird to swoop in and squawk at me (like they normally do), but I guess they were out getting food. So as the looked into the nest I was so surprised. This is what I saw................................
She had laid 2 more eggs! Can't wait to see what other surprises she has in store for us!

Teacher Appreciation Card
These were cute teacher appreciation cards I made using the Just Because cart. I embellished with baker's twine and buttons. I also cuttlebugged some of the words and rubbed ink over it to make it show up so much better. I inked all the edges and used a gelly roll pen for the faux stitching. Have a great day!
Cricut Circle- Scrapbook room
Last week on the Circle Blog, we got peeks into other ladies crafting areas. It was so neat to see how other people organize their things. As a bonus they want us to show off our crafting places. So here's my picture in the happiest place in the house!
MPS - NSD Challenge # 5
Here's Challenge # 5 of My Pink Stamper's NSD. Make a 3D project. After seeing Tammy Skinner's tutorial on making these, I had to try to make one. They are so easy and cute. I'm going to make 15 for my kid's school awards ceremony. I'm in charge of the AR (accelerated reading) program. The top 3 kiddos from each grade get a gift card. These will be perfect to present to them with their cards.

Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a great National Scrapbook day and a wonderful Mother's Day as well. The next few posts that I do, will be for the National Scrapbook Day challenges that Robyn at My Pink Stamper had on Saturday. I tried to keep up, but it was really hard with all the activities going on Saturday. I had alot of fun with them. I enjoy trying new things. Thanks Robyn for all the hard work you put into NSD! Here's Challenge #1- Use a cupcake in your project.
I used the Sweet Treats cart and MPS stamp set - Love-alicious. |

Teacher Appreciation Clip Boards
I came across these little clip boards at the dollar store a while back and picked them up. I knew they would be perfect for teacher appreciation week. They were so easy to make. I used modge podge to glue the paper down. I added ribbon scraps to the clip part and a ribbon around the top seam of the paper. Then I found some school buttons and put bakers twine through them and hot glued them on. Very easy. I also painted the backs of the boards, but you really wouldn't even have to do that. I hope the teacher's enjoy them!
The little school house card came from the Wrap it Up cart. |

Sending you Butterfly Kisses
I wanted to share this sweet card that I made for the wife of a coach at the kids school. They were in a motorcycle accident and will be ok but have lots of rehab ahead of them. We made them a goody basket to help through the boring days at the hospital. Hopefully it cheered them up a bit. Have a great day!

Spring has Sprung
We have been enjoying watching the robin that has made her nest on a planter on our back porch. Every time we venture out into the backyard we are nearly attacked by a squawking Mama and Daddy bird. They are so protective. Our poor Australian shepherd Sarah gets the worst of it. They actually dive down at her when she goes outside. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we have enjoyed the birds. Have a great day!
Here's our Mama bird, watching closely over her nest. |
The nest was actually built last week- The last week in April. |
Aren't they so pretty. I took this on Monday May 2. Thank goodness for zoom camera's! |
And here's our Mama warming her eggs. It was really chilly this morning. This was taken on May 3. |
